She continued singing and at 13 years old she was asked to join David Taylor and the Pearlie Gates. Emma has spent her entire life in gospel music in various capacities. Most recently she recorded on the Emtro Gospel Label with the Word and Worship Mass Choir, under the direction of Bishop Rudolph McKissick, Jr. The project is entitled Intimate Worship; she is the lead soloist on the song, It Must Be the Lord. In 2002 she organized a choir and named them the Love, Joy and Peace Choir.
